Tullynally Castle Gardens

Westmeath

Tullynally has been owned by the Pakenhams, later Earls of Longford, since the 17th century. The original fortified house was remodelled by the 2nd Earl as a huge rambling Gothic revival castle in the early 1800s, now one of the largest in Ireland to survive as a family home.

Belvedere House Garden and Park

Westmeath

Lord Belvederes residence originally intended as a hunting lodge was built in 1740 by eminent Palladian architect Richard Castle. The House is set on an elevated site overlooking Lough Ennell with spectacular views of the 160 acre estate, complete with Victorian Walled Garden, exotic trees and numerous follies including the famous Jealous Wall.
