Enniscoe House is situated on the shores of Lough Conn. Few traces remain of the 18th century gardens, but in the period 1840 to 1950 three generations of the family were keen and knowledgeable gardeners. After 1950 the gardens fell into decline.

Enniscoe House is situated on the shores of Lough Conn. Few traces remain of the 18th century gardens, but in the period 1840 to 1950 three generations of the family were keen and knowledgeable gardeners. After 1950 the gardens fell into decline. The walled garden has now been restored and work is still ongoing in the pleasure grounds. A feature of the ornamental garden is the rustic stone archway planted with hardy ferns and the long rockery.

Mayo North Heritage Centre adjoins the Gardens. The Family History Research Unit offers a professional service for people with North Mayo ancestors. (Service available 10.00-16.00 weekdays only). Also located in the centre is a museum which contains household artefacts and farm machinery. There is a tea room opening onto the garden terrace, and a shop which stocks antique collectibles, vintage lace, cards and small gifts.

Enniscoe House is a member of Irelands Blue Book and The Hidden Ireland and is open for dinner, bed and breakfast, April to October.

Enniscoe Gardens have been restored with the assistance of an ERDF grant through Bord Filte, under The Great Gardens of Ireland Restoration Programme and a FS scheme.
