Shannon Heritage are delighted to welcome back Chapterhouse Theatre Company to the beautiful surrounds of King Johns Castle, Limerick this July to perform their rendition of classic tale

'King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table'

With breathtaking views and a captivating performance, this promises to be a most enjoyable evening of theatre under the stars.

"King Arthur" is the story of an ordinary boy who grows to be the most loved King throughout history. From humble beginnings as a servant, to the drawing of the sword from the stone, through to the creation of Camelot - join Arthur on his journey and watch his tale unfold through sorcery and song.

The specially commissioned script aims to create a wonderful evening’s entertainment for all the family telling the world famous stories of Camelot, Arthur and Merlin.

This story of magic and love set in the legendary court of Camelot is a wonderful new production ideal for families and children of all ages.

The performance itself promises to be a vivacious, energetic and memorable and this open air style of theatre is the ideal way to pass a lazy summer’s evening with family or friends.

To make it a truly memorable experience audience members are encouraged to bring along picnics, complete with chairs or picnic blankets, to the Castle to add to the atmosphere and enhance their enjoyment of the evening. Gates will open at 6.45pm with the show commencing at 7.30pm.
