Brigit's Garden offers a touch of magic in the heart of Ireland's West, at the gateway to Connemara. The 11-acre site bring Celtic heritage to life through nature, art and unique gardens themed on Celtic festivals.

This is a place to find relaxation and inspiration as you explore the gardens and nature walks, the Wind Chamber and Fairy Fort, the Roundhouse and the Calendar Sundial, the largest sundial in Ireland.

The unique and peaceful gardens were designed by award-winning Irish designer Mary Reynolds, and although the design draws on ancient themes, the gardens are contemporary in their creative use of earth, water and stone. The sculptures and craftwork in the gardens were specially commissioned from leading Irish artists, and the planting is mostly native and naturalised and reflects the West of Ireland landscape.

This is a family-friendly place that appeals to all ages. The gardens and nature trail are fun for children and ideal for a school tour. Brigit's Garden is a not-for-profit organisation and also runs a variety of education programmes, festivals and special events.

Well signposted, 2 kms from the N59 between Moycullen and Oughterard, 20 minutes from Galway city.

Daily 10.00 to 17.30 from February to October.
